Fathers Day Gift – Update

I thought I would do a follow up blog post from last week’s blog about Handmade Fathers Day gift ideas to do yourself or with your kids.  I managed to get a photo gift completed which was inspired by the idea below from Gluesticks Blog.

I particularly liked this idea from Gluesticks Blog, and attempted to do something similar with my kids.

I got as far as doing the first letter ‘w’ when it became clear to me that this was going to be more challenging than I anticipated. Time to go to Plan B!

I printed off each letter using different fonts for each word and got them to hold them. Much more easier and quicker for all involved!

For Fathers Day

I then edited the photos and merge them all together to create the personal message.

Framed Fathers Day Gift

Admittedly this was a fairly quick process so probably not as well executed as it perhaps could have been, however, I like how it has come out and I do hope the recipient does too.

UPDATED 16/06/13 – Below is a PDF file with the letters I used to create the photo message, please feel free to use if you wish to make your own message photo.
