A couple of weeks ago, we went to the annual VW Action show held at Santa Pod. We just went for the day but you could go for the whole weekend camping there, which would be lots of fun. However, we weren’t brave enough as the weather was a bit unpredictable, camping and rain don’t really go together for me. Having said that, the sun was out and it was a lovely day the day we visited.
We went with the idea to get some ideas of doing our VW Camper up, and there was quite an array of VW Campers in different stages too, which was interesting and also inspiring.
The one above was immaculate, so beautifully restored, even had it’s own wine rack enclosed in the cabinetry! Perhaps not so child friendly!
This one looks so well travelled and probably has had a few adventures in it’s lifetime!
This camper was really inspiring, the whole interior was done in denim, it really looked amazing. Great upcycling going on with this renovated camper!
This VW Beetle was unusual as it looked like it had been painted in rust and perhaps it had, I didn’t get to speak to the owner but I would have loved to have found out how they had created that unique look.
I really liked this red VW Camper with it’s red and white gingham curtains and red and white chequered floor, it was beautifully renovated and inspired me to think about new curtains for our pink camper.
All in all, it was a great day out, we got inspired, had fun and watched a few drag races at the Santa Pod speedway.
